I think the title you've picked is awesome. It compels me to reach for the book, crack it open, and start reading. Something about the title tells me that it's going to be funny, full of humanity, and an all-around wild adventure. Good going!

YEAAHHHHH!!!! Congrats, WL! Excellent news!

When I get ready to revise something so close to my heart (or even a term paper, for that matter), I walk away from it for as long as possible. I can see it with *much* fresher editor's eyes when I come back days or weeks or even months later. You know how it is; you've graded enough English 101 essays. :-)

Weirdly, I had a dream about you the other night. Can't exactly remember what it was all about--was I visiting you? You were visiting me?--but I recall your being there, and there being a LOT of crazy blue- and green-based fabrics/prints there, very large scale, like we'd just stepped into an Henri Rousseau painting, complete with jungle foliage edged in gold, and fierce-yet-friendly jaguars and tigers, and velvet chaises longues set in the middle of this real-life scene. Wish I could remember more, but that's it. [shrugs]

Could you make a post here or on Facebook about how to get hold of this book when it comes out?

Congratulations! Ran into the following and thought of you. I don't know anything about writing books or publishing but found this information interesting:
http://blog.penelopetrunk.com/.
Penelope Trunk writes non fiction books and just self published even though she got an advance from a big publisher. Looking forward to reading your book!
