Fall Has Arrived
People are freaking out down here. It got cold yesterday. Readers, I'm not kidding you about this. The high today is ONLY 70 degrees. We may all freeze to death in South Florida. I think I saw ice in the Intracoastal. We had better bust out the fur coats because tonight it might get into the 40s. They said so on the news.
But I like it and this is the perfect week for this - Halloween!! My favorite holiday which never quite feels right when it's 85. At night.
I think I'll get a pumpkin spice latte on the way to school!

Oh but it feels so good. The air is so clean. The sky is so blue. Perfect Day for a bike ride.
I had to go out to Coconut Creek this morning and I think its colder out there.
Today is snowing for the first time here. Very heavy wet snow, the kind you hate to clean off of your car in the morning.
I'd love to have your positive view of cold but I'm caring for some feral kittens at the moment. They have a head cold and some days their eyes are closed of the infection. I've called some rescue groups but when they come and see they are getting close to 3 months they say it is too late for socializing them and nobody would adopt.
I tried to trap them but instead ended up bitten and driving home with bloody hands.
My husband built them a water proof home with cardboard boxes and plastic and they are sleeping inside but I've already caught teenagers twice trying to trap the black one for halloween. What's up with teenagers torturing black kittens in Halloween?
Anyway, sorry about my rants but as I watch the snow fall all I can think of is those kittens.
Enjoy your coffee!
Don't you love the weather reporters, too? Out here in Arizona in the summer, they say things like, "It's going to be cooler today, the high will be ONLY 110 degrees." Which I guess *is* cooler than the 113 or 115 from the day before, but still, one should never put the words "Only" and "110 degrees" in the same sentence. I'm also looking forward to an 85 degree day on Halloween...
I can totally have Hallow's at 70. I definitely second your pumpkin spice latte though. :) Yum.
Can't wait for the rainy season; the weather reporters completely panic and it's "Stormwatch 2008". OMG- it's *raining*. I watch and laugh at them. It is about the only time they get to do anything, though, so I guess they get excited.
I love your memories in the next few posts, the pictures.
I wish it were 70 here. We dipped down to 32 last night. Next is the snow...
I used to feel that way when I lived in Florida. But now that I have moved to the frozen north, 70 is hot.
I would ALMOST feel bad for you guys if I didn't live in Minnesota.
That's right, I'm totally one of those people who wears shorts in 60degree weather when I visit Florida in winter. I'm sure you all think I'm crazy.
Hahahahahaha
I live in Canada.
Hahahahahaha
Ooops. Break out the fur coats.
Actually, I do feel sorry for your weather reporters - they have to get really creative when the weather is the same day in and day out, right?
The weather is similar here, too. So far October has been in the 80's during the day at mid to high 50's at night, which is quite pleasant. This week? 42 at night and low 70's during the day! We have been freezing in the mornings! *sniff* I know. Poor us.
