Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Dear Readers! I hope you all enjoy my favorite holiday and I hope your Trick or Treat weather is better than South Florida's, although here it's definitely dark and stormy. Today is a long day for me, but I fully intend to come back later and tell you the story about the time that Mommom Jewel and Aunt Janey took on a pack of pumpkin smashing hoodlums.
We have done incredibly well in the Wide Lawns Birthday Charity Challenge! The challenge ends today so if you haven't donated please do so by midnight tonight. So far we have 7%, and I decided that whichever percentage we get up to is the percentage of me you will get to see in a picture. I figure now we've at least got a good isolated body part's worth (No, not a boob!)
May there be no cyanide or razor blades in your candy.
(I have no idea what's going on with the spacing. I think Blogger is possessed again.)

The girls wanted to decorate our pumpkin as a princess. We put fresh flowers in the top with a tiara after we carved it. There will be no candle in it this year. I'll post a pic later.

I hope your weather is calm for the kidlets tonight. Great photos in the previous post.

Blogger is always possessed! But maybe it's just in honor of today.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN :)

I am putting all my insanity into a community skate plaza for our extremely economically depressed town. I have nothing left, but wish you a very happy birthday and a happy halloween.

And am looking forward to what you are going to show us!

..I think Blogger is wigging out. I am not sure if this is a double post...

I'm sitting alone waiting on your father who said "I will be gone for 30 minutes. I have to get a printer, fax machine" I do believe that was 2 hours ago. You can tell your readers what his 15 minutes really mean. I was surprised he said 30. To be honest he hasn't been out of my site in 9 days so you can imagine how he is feeling. I hope he comes back home! I don't think this has ever happened since the day we met. He is always out and about. Anyway, I am proud to see that many gave to the children who need it most. Thank you! Thank you too my sweet angel for being so gracious and giving. I love you more than anything in the world. I miss you! Oh goodness, I hear the sound of his engine. He made it back home! Have a fun Halloween!

In the spirit of getting festively pie-eyed, I have another pumpkin drink recipe for you (and therefore, more pumpkin-based liquor, in case you prefer the more direct method and nuts to the blender and whipped cream business):

Pumpkin Shake

It'd be awesome if you continued to challenge beyond your birthday. I totally believe you could get everyone to pony up $20K altogether! :)

Here's your real birthday present from the teacher whose Leveled Readers project we funded with your heart, and my dollars...

She writes:
My students are always excited about books but when I told them we would be getting some wonderful new books they were beside themselves. I told them that even I have not read these books as yet and that the books would help them be good readers. These students do not have many personal possessions so they love to borrow my books. They take really good care of them and return the books promptly. We are looking forward to the new books and looking forward to writing about our favorites. My children are struggling readers and writers but they have the desire to learn and I want to thank you for allowing me to have exciting new books with which to teach them. Thank you again, Pat

Happy birthday, Subservient No More!
